Well we did it we FINISHED with an hour or so to spare, the kitchen was washed curtains washed dried and put back up and of course the windows washed inside and outside, and the floor washed then a quick run through to check everywhere was spick and span. After 2 weeks of hard graft the house looked lovely all we needed was mam back to see her reaction boy was she impressed, she said it felt like a new home and was walking from room to room saying how nice everything was and she was glad to get rid of the old boiler. Was it worth the long days of hard work yes it definitely was just to see her face and to know she is now comfortable in the home she has lived in for 45yrs and does not want to leave. The one remaining job is a new window which will hopefully (weather permitting) be installed on Wed so come the winter she will have peace of mind. We did have a few surprises up our sleeves mam had an old chest of drawers belonging to her mother and had said to throw them out but we couldn't so instead we gave them a coat of varnish and cleaned the handles.

Hey presto one refurbished set of drawers I also found some old wooden shoe stretchers again a coat of varnish and they look amazing.
Now the only problem is my house and garden has been neglected for the last 2 weeks so after I give myself permission to do nothing tomorrow I have to tackle my own haven.
