Lovely Day Out.

Yesterday my Mam Sis and I went to Castle Howard it was lovely being chauffeur driven (thanks Sis). The scenery was beautiful rolling hills, sheep in fields and best of all the sun was shining.
The first thing you do when you visit a stately home is check out the refreshments well you do need some sustenance and a very nice scone with clotted cream and jam washed down with a cuppa did the job. While we were having our refreshments we had a little visitor I think he was hoping for some left overs well no chance there.

Castle Howard has it's own website for those of you who are interested in finding out more about it see www.castlehoward.co.uk.
The house was interesting and some of the furniture beautiful but far too big would I like to live there no. Would I like the upkeep no, would I like having lots of people wandering round my estate no thank you, I will keep my own little semi thank you.

However the formal gardens and grounds were beautiful and I was happy snapping away at all the flowers here are a couple to look at.
