Wedding Day Merriment.

After watching the wedding in the comfort of my own dwelling which I thoroughly enjoyed, I then dressed in all my finery complete with hat (very smart) we proceeded to friends for an afternoon of merriment. We obviously started with a toast to the happy couple  and strawberries dipped in white chocolate and blueish (all right then purple) sugar on. We then had a lovely faith luncheon (have faith in what other people bring),

Our version of the wedding cake and some very patriotic fairy cakes.

After eating until we were fit to bust our host had some Royal games lined up first we had to decorate a wedding cake, 3 cakes, 3 couples, full of food and wine the result being:

Our very own creation a small layer of icing piped round the bottom then another one higher up. In between crisps (what else). Notice the subtle change in icing colour bright pink to set of the silverskin onions, a good substitute for pearls. To top off the cake we used white icing gherkins and a tomato and behold a thing of beauty.

Our second game consisted of paste eggs brides and groom.

I must apologise for the poor quality of the photo's
A I only had my phone camera.
B The wine was starting to take affect.
C My eyes were watering from using all the onions on our cake.
Our bride bore a slight resemblance to Lady Gaga unfortunately our groom let us down.
All in all a good time was had by all.

  1. Some of us would say it's usually the groom that lets you down, you only have to think of Charles... and a some in our family!!

Nice cakes, although I'm not too sure about the gerkin and pickled onion flavoured icing, but there's no accounting for taste!
