This is day 2 of the tidy up mam's house ,day 1 is on Azza's Blather . Armed with buckets cloths paint brushes rollers etc set off, first job to finish removing the 999 carpet tacks from stairs (my late dad was a believer in why use 1 tack when 5 will do a better job). That done now to tackle the dust I swept, hoovered then washed down the stairs all of a sudden a shout HELLO my brother in law arriving to fix the leaking stopcock and replace the netty (toilet for those without the knowledge). He then had to leave again cos he forgot the stopcock (I'll forgive him) 5mins later another shout "want to share some panacalty "(that's the reason for forgiving him). After eating that plus a Tunnocks caramel wafer biscuit with a cup of tea we were both raring to go. I striped the wallpaper off the bedroom cleared it all up and hoovered while he finished replacing the toilet. Had to send mam a pic of her new netty mistake cos she rang me (3rd time today). I did think with her safely away visiting another sister in Banbury we would be safe to ramsack the house but no forgot she knows how to use a mobile, you'd think an 82yr old would find it difficult but not mam. Well all that work done went home to recuperate for another session tomorrow.
Wonder what she would say if I told her this is how her house looks think she might get a shock.
