It's that time of year again.

I know I haven't been blogging for a few days but it is that time of year again CHRISTMAS NATIVITY time. Costumes washed snowflake costumes repaired new reindeer costumes made and all ironed today for dress rehearsal. We have been practising for a couple of weeks now and I have to say if the parents came today they would have thought we were putting on a comedy play.

Let me explain I work in a nursery school with 3/4yr olds, we have two sessions 1 am and 1pm we have approx 43 am children to dress and boy do they look cute and we are managing to sing our way through our play.

Children on cue angels looking cute Mary and "Jo Smiff  he's the baby's dad im" sitting in stable shepherds arrive 3 Kings appear one wets himself  1 cries wants his mam the other drops his present. That's only the dress rehearsal will we do it for the parents who knows.

Now the pm session is a different matter we have only enough children to do a very small nativity and the usual Christmas songs. Dress rehearsal today great Joseph is absent Mary cries and has to be substituted so is now a star the Kings are fab a shepherd keeps saying he doesn't want to do it (after he has already been to the crib). Angel Gabriel is absent (think she might have gone off with Joseph maybe that's why Mary is crying). All the while I am narrating the snowman is repeating everything I say and one of the angels is picking her nose. Santa stopped crying long enough to get into his suit and even managed to say his HO HO HO.
Will I be able to keep a straight face next week on concert days.
