Any way those that read my previous post know I have recently returned from a fantastic amazing and in the words of Mary Poppins Supercalifragalisticexpialidocious holiday in NY. I know I should have really started my blog with the pre holiday rituals which include
A trip to the beauty lounge for the pedicure it would have been a manicure as well if only the nails hadn't snapped.
All done and can I just say they are still perfect after almost 5 weeks, well those poor feet took some hammering in NY. We walked for miles sometimes off the beaten track we spent an enjoyable couple of hours in Roosevelt Island taking the aerial tramway there and then the subway back.
No trip to NY is possible without going to my favourite building the one and only New York Public Library,
How I love that building there was an interesting exhibition on called Lunch Hour New York which I will blog about another time.
Yes folks that's me sitting in NYPL writing in my holiday journal.
After a good few hours in the library we headed for Grand Central Terminal as we walking along the street I looked down and saw lots of literary plaques in the pavement.
I had to take this one for my sister who enjoys nothing more than a good read (as do my other sister and myself).
This one I could not resist taking for my other sister as she recently had a novel published.
Any way enough of my ramblings for today come back another time to find out some more interesting things we did.
