Well it was time for another Golden Girls luncheon and we had a lot to celebrate this time, it was a glorious afternoon the sun was shining (amazing considering the weather we have had lately). Armed with pink fizzy bottle no 1 and some strawberries we sat outside.
So the celebrations began first we toasted my sister who has just had her book published.
Front Cover.
Back Cover.
Not only has my sister published it on Amazon it is now available on Kindle.
The other two Golden Girls were very impressed they knew someone who's sister was a published author. We raised two glasses to that piece of news.
The other bit of news that needed celebrating was the fact that I am going to be as they said a Golden Gran.
By this time the heat was making us all feel giggly so we got on to our normal conversations our bodies. The first topic under discussion was the dreaded bingo wings.
Now ours are not as bad as this.
So do we do some exercises well there is always the lift exercise, take one glass of wine and lift it to the lips does this work who knows but it tastes good.
Next we got on to a personal problem Rose wanted to bring up how much grey hair do we all have,
the answer was how do we know because we colour it.
By now things were getting very silly so we decided to have some lunch we quickly cobbled together and ate to our hearts content. Then the topic changed to midriff bulge and we decided to just accept it because we are after all 3 healthy good looking ladies of a certain age.
And so after 3 bottles of pink fizz the afternoon came to a close and it was time to head to our own homes to have a little golden siesta.

Sounds like you had a great time. Thanks for the toast, and I'm sorry I couldn't be there to sign autographs....
ReplyDeleteSeems you had a jolly good time!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like a fun get together with the Golden Girls, Paula! The best thing we can do is accept ourselves at whatever age we are, stay as healthy as possible, and keep our good humor :)
